Quadrilaterals!

Tonight's homework is to complete the Quadrilateral worksheet.  If you need to finish the notes paper, please complete that as well.  We will have a really simple quiz this Thursday on the following items:

  • Polygon definition:  Closed two dimensional figure made of line segments
  • Polygon types: triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon
  • Triangles classified by sides:  Equilateral, Isosceles, Scalene
  • Triangles classified by angles: Right, Acute, Obstuse
  • Quadrilateral classifications: Trapezoid, Parallelogram, Rhombus, Rectangle, Square
  • Regular vs. Irregular polygons
Notes from today's lesson:

Various shapes fit into the definitions of different Quadrilaterals:

We'll continue to review tomorrow in class.  As a reminder for tonight's homework, regular polygons have all sides and all angles the same, irregular polygons do not have all sides and all angles the same.
