Only 2.5 days left after today! :)
Hey everyone! I know that you were hoping for a snow day today, but hopefully you were happy to get in a little bit of extra practice for the math test!
Tonight's homework is:
1. Study for Wednesday's test
2. Complete the study guide for tomorrow
3. Work on the optional worksheets
As you know, the multitude of worksheets I passed out today are optional, but I encourage you to work on the problems that you tend to have difficulty with. Believe me, there is a little bit of everything on those sheets. Do what you think will help you prepare for the test. We will review answers in class tomorrow and go over some additional word problems.
You can also begin working on your index card. Below you will find an example of what the card might look like... Feel free to write down notes, examples, whatever you think will help you!

Dividing fractions!
Easy, huh? Check out the video in yesterday's post if you are having any trouble!
Tonight's homework is to complete the dividing worksheet (most of you finished ~or at least came close~ during class) and the study guide is due Tuesday.
Have a wonderful weekend. Keep your eyes on the weather...

Multiplying and dividing fractions.
As you know, we started multiplying today... (easy, wasn't it?)
Use this video to review and (if you want) to begin learning about division. Both are way easier than adding and subtracting.
Tonight's homework is to complete the Multiplying Fractions worksheet. The study guide is also due on Tuesday to help you prepare for next Wednesday's test on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions.

More adding and subtracting...
It was really nice to see you guys again today! I hated missing school the last two days and I was glad to be back even if I sounded a little froggy... Tonight you have 16 adding and subtracting mixed numbers problems. Work carefully, show your work, and be sure to simplify.
Tomorrow we will start working on multiplying fractions. Believe it or not, multiplying and dividing are much easier than adding and subtracting with fractions. They don't use those pesky common denominators.
Good luck on tonight's homework and I will see you tomorrow!

United States of Autocomplete
This is what the US looks like when the first autocomplete option pops up on Google for each state. So someone types in Connecticut and the first pop-up option is Connecticut Post. Generally sports and newspapers reign supreme!

couldn't post yesterday! :(
The internet was down at school yesterday... It felt like I couldn't breathe! YOU KNOW how much I LOVE my technology!!! :(
Anyway, we continued our work with percentage yesterday and our homework was to complete worksheet 10-10 and get the signed quiz in today.
This is pretty goonie but the math is correct..
Today we started working on Probability. Tonight's homework is to complete 12-1 and "Probability Practice" in the probability packet.
